netgear wpn824 router

Hi all, this is my first post and i hope there will be many more to come,
i have purchased a netgear wpn824 router and im having a bit of a problem setting it up, i have installed the installation cd and done all the instructions by the letter, but i cant seem to get past the enter user name and enter password section, i have entered the username and password that came with it, but it just wont seem to accept it, if anyone has had the same sort of problem, could you please let me know how you got round it, its getting me very frustrated now,
thanks taz.....

Re: netgear wpn824 router

You are with VM cable arent you?

If so,

Power Off PC, Modem and router

Connect all cables correctly

Modem <> Router
Router <> PC

Then power on all equipment.

Then you can login to the router via http://192.168.1.1/ and configure settings in there

HTH.
