Question Remote Desktop on Vista Home

Long shot I guess.

Has anyone had cause to use the hacked termserv.dll that Green Button released to enable the ability to remote 'into' a Vista Home Premium machine as well as having the client to remote 'out'?

Was just wanting to remote into the lappy there from my PDA and remembered that RDP 'in' is not included with Home.

THIS link explains it and most seem to have had good success.

I've installed Vista's SP1 and wondering if that's had the hole plugged.

Re: Remote Desktop on Vista Home

I have used it, yes, but SP1 includes a different dll file so you can't swap them until a special one for SP1 is hacked.

It's also against eula.

Ah, so the SP1 being installed IS the issue you're saying?

That's not a concern for me at this level.

Re: Remote Desktop on Vista Home

Well, SP1 includes an updated version of termserv.dll or whatever file it uses, so the dll that the hacked file imports is no longer compatible until the SP1 file is reworked.

Got ya - thanks for that.
I'd seen it mentioned that SP1 had filled the hole.
Shame that.
