Re: New VM connect app keeps stopping
VM updated the app again to 11.8.62.1(2). However it still puts a notification up top making you think there's an email or something but no there isn't. VM claim Google now insist on this on Oreo 8. VM quote "There is a very light background service that is running, the permanent notification is required in order to prevent your operating system from periodically killing the background service and therefore stopping our connectivity manager". Like last time I'll give a go. Nearly every review is negative but it works apart from the notification (annoyance). Not really noticed a big power drain but I'll monitor it for a while. The app called Virgin media (not connect) worked fine, so I'll probably end up reinstalling that version.
Anybody else tried this latest version?
