Well the legs all seem to have been cast separately and added on so I am hopeful that it will be possible to weld the claw back on. At the moment the poor thing has a distinct list to the left and has to be propped up against the Aspidistra.

Errrrr that would send me passed the handbags and I was thinking that a red handbag to match my new shoes would be a tad extravagant but as you suggested the detour I guess fate has intervened. So a detour it is and I shall tell john it was all your idea.
