Attaching a Hard disk to a TV
Is it safe to attach a small hard disk to the back of a TV using strong velcro instead of have it hanging behind?
Will not thw internals of the hard disk interfear with the TV etc?

There's one way to find out. I doubt it will interfere any more than it is now. It's already near enough to have caused interference.

wouldn't have thought so i have duct taped them there before now just make sure it has enough ventilation so it cant over heat

If it works that is?
Some TVs might not have the power to the HDD.
I have a NAS drive that my TV can access.

Our Sony has twin USBs and both can run HDD. One primarily for recording HD content. The playback HDD is right next to the back of the TV due to the short USB3 adapter lead it uses. No pickup effects.

I've hung a usb powered hard disk there with no issues, one of my other tv's has a u shaped bracket that attaches to one of the screws you use for wall mounting so it sits in there nicely.

That looks very similar to my rather old HP hard disk that was USB powered, it needed two inputs to power it, modern USB 3.0 drives only use one usb port now as they are more efficient. And pretty cheap too , even for 1 TB sizes.
