Thanks for your inputs It seems that wireless networking is not an exact science. Having changed to LinkSys WRT54GS (L) all OK for now. Still have the old belkin to dispose of bit loathe to bin it just yet

Hi - Installed this modem fine - It was assigned its ip number Etc. Now the fun began. When connecting to the internet the only page that would come up was Virgin Media registration page stating that i had to activate my account with them. I have had the account for over a year and its been fine with just the modem and RJ45 cable. So - Anyone have any ideas as to why its asking for registration again.

Virgin say the router is not compatible with their modem and suggest they send me one out ...

turn the modem and router off, wait 30 seconds, turn the modem on, wait for all lights to become steady, then turn the router on.
