Samsung Galaxy S2 2.3.6 update
Hi all,
Just wondered if VM use generic, unlocked handsets on their contracts? I see that Samsung have released an update for the phone but that it might take a while to get through to networked locked handsets.
What are VM like with software updates if these handsets are network locked?

Its installing just now, so will let you know as soon as it reboots
I was on 2.3.3 before I think.
Ok so phone has just finished updating and its only updated me to 2.3.4, but straight away there are a couple of little changes I have noticed. No option available to update to 2.3.6 though

A lot of carriers brand their firmware updates. Partner's Xperia Arc on VM tends to require a little wait after Sony rollout a new firmware before she gets it.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S2 2.3.6 update
I got an official response on the community forum regarding it. They say that it will need to go through their internal testing etc etc but they can't tell us when it will be released.
Not really an official response as such, more the same sort of thing most mobile companies give you, but I guess it confirms it won't be released with the unlocked devices.
