So you're saying he waits the same length of time we'd do?

Plenty of people have private health access, not just royals.
Bupa in the UK is estimated to have at least 2.3 million customers.

Re: King Charles III diagnosed with cancer.
Probably bowel cancer seeing as they were all up his bowels anyway. They won’t give details because it will lead to inevitable press features on post-op care and Fleet Street paparazzi trying to get pictures of the bulge under his shirt where he’ll be wearing a stoma belt. The last thing anyone wants is sidebars in the Sunday press discussing the King’s ongoing bowel care.
Pretty much the same as they didn’t elaborate on Kate’s ‘abdominal surgery’, for which read ‘hysterectomy’. They absolutely don’t want that discussed because as well as being very personal it has implications for the line of succession. Only obliquely of course, given that she’s borne three direct heirs to the throne, but again, Sunday papers, feature writers, blob pars …

Would they write that? I suspect they already know what cancer the King has, what cancer the Queen may have had, and what surgery Kate had but aren't publishing because it would look awful if they did.

Re: King Charles III diagnosed with cancer.
If the palace had confirmed any of it it would have been open season. As the palace has declined to give any details of what procedures either of them has had, they can’t. That sort of speculation is the sort of thing the papers used to get away with but they know they wouldn’t any more.

I had to turn the news off last night and same with this morning TV, endless interviews with no further information and constantly going round in circles over and over again to point of being really annoying. At least Ch4 had it right last night. It was a news flash at 6.15pm, gave all the info they had and then normal services resumed. So 3-4 mins max, other than that there's nothing else left to say there is no other information to give.

Re: King Charles III diagnosed with cancer.
Yes, notwithstanding that he is somewhat useless, at a human level we should hope that he recovers fully. The Monarchy as an institution supports our democracy (provided that the wrong generals are not in place).
