Seems daft

A relative is moving house, and was told by Virgin she would be able to switch everything from her current property to the new one. Yet, according to their website (they hadn't installed anything yet as it is a new build she is moving to) she can only get Broadband and TV, not phone. Would Virgin ever connect the address up so she can get a landline? Not entirely sure who to go through to at VM on the phone so asking here.

Area would be built as HFC only due to local capacity restrictions, Telco will be available in future when digital voice launches but not a current fixed line variant that you might be used to. Hope that helps.

Spoke to VM just now, and they said the website is wrong, nothing is available at the property for now. So I need to get the name of the Development and the Developers so they can send a form off to get the area inspected to see if they can connect VM to the address. I'm guessing the likelihood of that is slim as she hinted heavily that it might be worth getting in touch with SKY to see what can be done.
