Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
When people try to say we shouldn't blame Moyes etc, just ask yourself would SAF have stood for midfield stats as awful as those.

The Infantile one or the one whose antics get everyone moaning about him whilst forgetting about how the team's played. The press anyway.

I didn't realise until today that Atletico are also playing today, later in the day than Chelsea are. I wonder if they will play their reserves?

Yup and Bayern and RM played yesterday although Bayern played earlier in the day than RM. tbh there was more concern over Bayern playing on Friday prior to ties vs Arsenal while Arsenal played Saturday/Sunday. 'Arsenal like to cry'

Who knows, but they won't have as many unavailable on Wednesday as us, that's why the threat is there. They'd have played a day or two earlier if Valencia hadn't been involved in the Europa league last Thursday. Themselves and Real were offered the chance to postpone last weekends games though. Real took the offer up, Atletico didn't.

Bayern have been able to rest as many as they've wanted recently seeing they won the league ages ago.

Defeats are never easy to take though so its kind of irrelevant.

I think that depends if you've walked the league in record time though. However we line up today, us and others have blown our chances of the league over the last month or two. If Jose has decided to prioritise next Wednesday over today, it's not handed them the title, they already have one hand on it. Red card for Cardiff!

That record wont buy them a pass to the final. Performances will and Bayerns performances have dropped. I was more fearful of Peps Barca side than this Bayern side.

I know that, but resting a few players with the knowledge the league is already yours is a position everyone left in the Champions League would like. They're more like the Barca of the last couple of years I think. Dominate with the ball, but up against a well organised defence they can struggle. Bayern had it all with Jupp Heynckes in his last couple of seasons. I wonder how he feels when he watches them now?

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Barca were better imo. Bayern in my eyes can crumble a lot easier than Barca would. I get resting players and all but defeats are defeats, they take toll on anyone. I mean defeats against Dortmund wouldn't be welcomed. They can say well the Leagues ours, the record blah blah but a win on the day is massive whatever level it is. That boost then helps going forward. I remember Arsenal a fair few years ago when the young guns use to do one better than the seniors and that had a massive impact. If all this perfection bullcrap is to be believed then it should be on show which it isnt. I see it similar to Man Utd tbh. fear factor, take that away and they can be easier got at.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Well Barca have definitely lost a lot of their fear factor this season. As have United I agree. But like Barca, if you open up against Bayern, they'll batter you. Sturridge on the bench today. Tomas Kalas plays centre back with Ivanovic. Chelsea team v Liverpool: Schwarzer; Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Kalas, Cole; Lampard (c), Mikel, Matic; Salah, Ba, Schurrle. 4-3-3 I'd say. Subs v Liverpool: Hilario, Ake, Cahill, Van Ginkel, Baker, Willian, Torres. Liverpool team to play Chelsea: Mignolet, Johnson, Flanagan, Skrtel, Sakho, Gerrard, Allen, Lucas, Coutinho, Sterling, Suarez
