Latest scam targeting Sky and BT customers.
If anyone wants to watch last night's report on the latest attempts to scam Sky & BT customers, it's about 0:18 in.

Actually nearer 17min in, concerns a call about a viewing card followed by a call asking you to transfer the money in your bank account into a "safe" account

These people don't tend to get away with it with those of us who are clued up on this sort of thing.
Often, it's the more vulnerable people who are at risk that can lose money who can ill afford it the least, such as the elderly who may be less tech savvy or more trusting, or those with learning difficulties/disabilities.

That's the problem Richard, they play on the vulnerable in the main though there are those who fall for it who "should've known better"!

When they can't pronounce our surname even closely or we know they are a scam, my dad has said "Go fuff yourself" then hang up.

Stick with VM..they never phone me up to offer me anything or to query anything.I have to phone them.
