The best thing about watching GI was watching it in gold class. Huge fully reclining lazy boy sofas and waiters to bring over my caramel popcorn and drinks. The film itself, also 4 out of 10, exactly for the reasons above.

I saw the film in a cinema in Dubai. My brother in law bought the tickets. Its basically a cinema with 50 lazy boy sofas arranged in pairs. You order your food before you go in, its bought to you by a waiter, you can also get his attention throughout the film. Each lazy boy has enough room around it to fully recline. Personally, i thought it was a bit OTT as well as a waste of money as the tickets are quite expensive.

The Hangover - 6/10. Not the ball-burstingly-funny film people made it out to be sadly. OK it had it's pretty good moments but the hype passed me by. Although Mike Tyson was excellent, not a bad actor for his scenes

I think that's the difference between our scores - I went to it with low expectations (another Will Farrell/Seth Rogan type film), and was pleasantly surprised that it was (imho) much better than that.

S. Darko 5/10 You have to forget Donnie Darko, and watch S. Darko as a film in it's own right. Am right peeved at all the 'it's rubbish compared to..' reviews on lovefilm. It's not that bad you know, it's just a bit slow to get into, and it seems more hard to follow than Donnie Darko (!) as it is more to do with the characters that his sister encounters rather than delving into her personality and what she has been doing since he died...

Inglourious Basterds 8.5/10.
Not at all predictable, and kept confounding my expectations - v. enjoyable, not sure if it is a classic, though (may have to go see it again....).

Shifty

Really good British film, starts off a bit slow, like where's this all leading to and has a short but explosive end.
Lots of profanities, no nudity & no pointless snogging just how a film should be.
9\10 from me

Inglourious Basterds 10/10 and will be a Tarantino classic without doubt, and also not your usual war movie with some fantastic cameos.
Even SWMBO loved it and that says a lot.

There Will Be Blood - 7/10 it's worth watching but maybe doesn't quite live up to all the hype and critical acclaim. the scenes with Lewis and Eli are great.

I saw that on the day of release at my local FACT cinema which also had an live interview with Daniel Day-Lewis as part of the screening.
A good movie but not for a woman.

Brilliant, Tarantino at his very best.
