Stick to repair infected computers.

I was half asleep when I heard an advert about a stick that you can place into a computer to repair it if it's been infected.

Anyone know anything about this?

Nothing new. I've had one for at least 5 yrs. Basically the stick contains a bootable antivirus programme which will update it's virus database on booting the PC then run a scan and remove or quarantine any virus it finds.

Re: Stick to repair infected computers.

Thanks Pip, can you recommend one?

I'm looking to buy one for my niece's laptop. I want to also get one for my tablet in case something happens.

Just buy a memory stick and load this onto it. No need to spend money when it's free.
