Re: BBC Sports Personality of the Year
Apart from Joey they are all winners and all their names should be on the trophy.

The only winner will be the bookies, taking all those bets.

Re: BBC Sports Personality of the Year
Presumably Joey is on there for those who are tempted to vote Wiggo but afraid that he might hunt them down to chin 'em and stub a ciggy out in their eye.

Re: BBC Sports Personality of the Year
Andy Murray, he has achieved something brilliant in a sport that has some of the greatest ever players the sport has seen in its history playing at the moment.

Re: BBC Sports Personality of the Year
Wiggo. Murray's achievement is fantastic, but Wiggo is the first Brit to win the TdF which is the biggest cycling event in the World. With respect for Murray, the US Open is one of 4 Grand Slams. It's not quite on a par with the TdF. It would have becom a very hard choice if Murray had won Wimbledon though.

Oh is this their actual list then? Because the reasoning for Bob nudd or Phil Taylor never winning was supposedly because their sports weren't shown on the BBC.

I think the shortlist is drawn up by the BBC before it's put to the vote but I don't think inclusion on this list is dependent on the sport being on their channel. Mark Cavendish won it last year and cycling isn't on the BBC. It's on Channel 4, ITV and sometimes Sky. Phil Taylor was included in the shortlist in 2011 but came second in the public vote.

Re: BBC Sports Personality of the Year
I narrowed it down to Wiggins or Murray and finally went for Wiggins. It will be interesting to view this year.

Re: BBC Sports Personality of the Year
My vote goes to Ellie. About time the title was voted on what it is, not flavor of the day
BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
