You're right. You used to be able to but I noticed they stopped a while ago. I used to enjoy listening to 5live while watching but for some reason the synchronisation got really bad that I stopped it. The radio would be screaming Goal when it would be quite a few seconds later before the TV pictures showed the actual action.

Some people have no class, no loyalty and no respect. Couldn't he wait or does he really need the cash that badly.

Probably staking his claim for when the Adminstrators move in and start to find ways to pay back all the people they owe money too. It's poor timing considering he could have done it at any time but if he is owed money then why shouldn't he claim it? It's the poor management at Portsmouth who are to blame.

What a night of football! Best of all Arsenal needing to win by two goals, go two goals down! Well, just have to score four then

well Liverpool are now only a point of fourth so looks like they will get there by the end of the season. I always thought the top four would still be the same come the end of the season

He shouldn't claim it because it could well be the straw that breaks the camels back and forces them into oblivion, after the fans supported him and the club gave him a nice swansong to his career they obviously mean very little to him. I mean how many millions does one man need, there are plenty of players who are a lot poorer than him who have gratious gestures to clubs who have hit upon hard times, not old Sol, sooner he retires and disappears into obscurity the better.

A loyalty to his former team does not excuse the club from honouring the terms of his contract. There were indeed some players who in the past took wage cuts to help their club but it's not the case that any player who doesn't do the same has no class, no loyalty and no respect. No one is saying he is a saint but it's hardly doing anything wrong either.

Compared to vast amount of debt owed to other clubs and the government the sum Sol Campbell is claiming is small. Trying to claim it will be what sends them under is somewhat exaggerating the issue. If they were recently taken over by a fans group/decent owner and desperately trying to keep the business afloat then I would agree with you but the sad fact is that it's going under and if it wasn't this it would be something else. They are in £60 million pounds of debt. They owe money to Liverpool, Spurs, and Chelsea amongst others and a £7 million pound VAT bill. So if they go into adminstartion it's not because Sol Campbell is claiming £1.7 million.

Where's the loyalty to his former team mates whom he may be consigning to the dole queue, where's the class when players from Stockport and the like give up their signing on fees when they move on to help the club and lets not even bring up respect, we know how much of that he has by his past behaviour. Imo Sol is the living representation of everything that is wrong with the game today and with a bit of luck he'll spend the rest of his career roting in Arsenal's reserves before fading away into obscurity.

Had 0-0 written all over it.

It was a pity about the red card though. (although it was a stonewaller). It killed the game as a contest. Even if it was 2-2 at half time I think Blackburn would have had a chance if they'd still had 11 players on the park.

His teammates will be picked up by other clubs and he is not consigning them to the dole queue, The mismanagement at Portsmouth is. As I said before, it's not fair to blame the impending administration at Portsmouth on Campbell. Even if he didn't claim this money they are on course to go under.

By your logic why don't the players give up part of their entitlement? At the moment they are getting exactly what they are entitled to by the terms of their contracts. The player on 80k a week should offer to half that at least shouldn't he? Where is the condemnation for them.

This seems more a stick for which you have chosen to beat Sol Campbell with. The continued attempt to claim that he will be putting the club in administration and causing the players to be unemployed proves this to me. Yes Sol is obviously highly motivated by money but let's be realistic into what's going on at Portsmouth and not place the blame on scapegoats.

Do you know how many players get released each year never to kick a ball professionally again? No thought not, it's hundreds, every year, so yes he will be helping to consign a lot of them to the dole queue. No one has said their hasn't been prior missmanagement of resources, what's been said is Campbell isn't helping.

Actually they have come to agreements with other clubs over transfer debts and I'd imagine an agreement will be reached over VAT.

Do you even know who plays for Portsmouth these days? How many of their players do you think are on 80k a week? The only one who comes remotely close is David James and he is soon to be given away

Campbell's claim to small fry compared to the rest. We're talking about a Premiership club, most players will find other clubs and if they don't find a club anywhere willing to take them then maybe Portsmouth shouldn't have had them on their books in the first place.

So they claim but have yet to submit the evidence the Premier League require in order to release their share of the TV money. For example Udinese are claiming £4m in unpaid transfer fees.

We'll see what happens about the VAT come the court case for the winding up order.

John Utaka is on 80k a week and David James is close. More evidence of the poor management.

He is asking them to honour the debt they contractually owe him same as every other player at the club expects to be paid.

Portsmouth only had 13 players at one stage pre season, they needed to bring some in just to make up the numbers, the likes of Danny Webber will struggle if released.

One then possibly and at the time they were signed it wasn't poor management, which really gets to the crux of all their problems, I think the fans are entitled to ask what's happened to all the cash, I mean 25 million for Diarra, 17 for Johnson, 15 for Muntari, Defoe, Crouch, Distan and Krankjar went for millions, all the tv cash and they are still 60 million in debt, something doesn't add up even taking high wages into account, I know Gaydemak invested a lot but how much did he take with him when he left?

They might expect it but it's been 3 times now that they haven't been....
