Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
I 'upgraded' from 8.1 to W10 a few weeks ago. All went smoothly, no issues.
tbh not really noticed much difference.

Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
I'm impressed with W10 performance, enough for me to consider upgrading our oldest dual core PC (2005) Pre-anylisis suggests that this PC's processor is unsuitable, but W10 is running so crisply on my quad core I am thinking that the lack of processor power may not be an obstacle.
W10 appears to use less resources or uses them better. Since upgrade, boot is complete within 30 seconds, (before it was almost 1 minute), apps start up more quickly, multitasking causes no noticeable slowdown, shutdown is very rapid, < 10 secs.
!'m expecting upgrade problems, as previously, but I am hoping to avoid this by stripping out all additional hardware, uninstalling nonessential drivers and uninstalling PC utilities like virus ware and tune ups.
Wish me good luck.

Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
Is windows 10 really that much of an improvement to people like myself who only use their laptop to surf the web etc very basic tasks. My 7 laptop has not given me any problems so i'm reluctant to upgrade if all it means faster boot time faster shut down.i have time to wait.

Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
yes. W10 is faster overall too, daily tasks and all not just boot and shutdowns. give it a try. if you don't like it then simply revert back to where you were with W7 which is a simple process. use the download tool to upgrade.

Just tried that, wish I hadn't, it was still 'clearing data' 30 minutes after I clicked on Clear Data. Had to con+alt+del to get to Task Manager so that I could close the bowser.
Edit: problem still the same, remembers some login details but not others. Seems to be sites that have a 'remember me' tick box still work but others don't.

Not for every site, CF is fine for instance but several work related sites. It asks if I want to remember the password, depending upon which site it is I click yes but when I try to login on to the same site later I have to re enter username/password.

You could always use the free version of LastPass.

Re: [Update] Windows 10 Discussion
LastPass is awesome, i have been using it years, shame it isn't free on mobile devices though.
