Re: What have you just bought?
One of these very handy iRig midi interfaces which allows you to control your ipad/iphone music applications using a native midi port instead of nasty usb via the camera connection kit.

Some of the ios music apps are sounding really nice these days (Sunrizer, Animoog, PPG Wave Generator etc...)

Re: What have you just bought?
A Panasonic Lumix DMC SZ1. A bit basic but it does everything I want and takes HD videos which is great for recording young Jack laughing.

Four air tickets for a long weekend in New York in November, to celebrate our best friend's 50th birthday.

Re: What have you just bought?
A new laptop.
Don't like the idea of Windows 8 so no doubt I shall be asking for advise some time soon.

My previous laptop died last week after trying to incinerate me and, as it was only a year old and I liked it, I have opted for virtually the same laptop but with i7 and a larger HD. I can't wait to get my hands on it and get it set up as I like.
I have a feeling I will be installing something on the lines of Classic start 8 though as my trial of Windows 8 was spoiled by the lack of a start option.

Very nice indeed jo and our last laptop lasted for at least 6 years and luckily we put some money away for a new one several years ago and it was just a matter of time before it died a gracious death and sadly this happened about a month ago and the thing is in 6 years things can certainly change a lot when it comes to getting a new laptop and then getting used to all these new things on it.
