I didn't get to play that yesterday.
Do you know what the game was running on as if I am not mistaken they were using xbox360 controllers so I think it would have been running on a PC?
What did you think of battlefield and forza which were running on the X1.

Re: The Xbox One Thread
Early alpha running on PCs and using 360 pads. Not sure if it was the PC version, or if they were using Xbox One dev kit PCs.
BF4 and Forza looked great. I didn't play either, but one of the guys I was with played Forza and loved it, including the rumble triggers.

Re: The Xbox One Thread
I didn't really see much else apart from a glimpse of Drive Club on the PS4 and i thought it looked no where near as good as Forza in frame rate and graphics, not sure if it was running on a PS4 as i never saw a PS4 in front of any monitors.
Did you get to try out a PS4 and how was it in your view?

Naturally, why bother putting it on Next-Gen and risking sales? Forza 5 would look no different than it does now if they'd left it on the 360. It's going to be at least a year before they truly start making games look next gen, I believe someone in this thread has said that before me.
Pcars isn't really aimed at pleasing the consoles masses though, it's filling a huge void in PC racing simulation because of Microsoft's refusal to even think about having Forza on a pc. So naturally with Pcars being a game built for the PC, it looks better, plays better and is stunning all round. However on consoles It'll only be on the same level of Forza if not lower.
Plus, my name is in the game and apparently I get a share of the profits as well as a free copy too.

Microsoft to unlock more GPU power for developers in the future.
Quote:
Xbox One reserves 10 per cent of graphics resources for Kinect and apps functionality, Digital Foundry can confirm, with Microsoft planning to open up this additional GPU power for game development in the future. This, and further graphics and performance-based information was revealed during our lengthy discussions with two of the architects behind the Xbox One silicon.

The Sony fanboys are again pathetic at the bottom of this article and clueless.

Microsoft will be one step ahead with innovative ideas and yet again and Sony will be playing catch up copying what they do .....

When I was at the Eurogamer show at the weekend, in my opinion most of the games Isaw look best on the x1. I thought that need for speed rivals looked very slow in frame rate on the ps4 and also drive club was no where near as smooth as forza the only exception was ac4 on the ps4 that looked great, I wish that was on show on the x1 though.
