VM (amongst others) are trying to block a mandatory broadband compensation scheme:

Good. It's a poorly thought out scheme with the potential for a bunch of unforseen consequences.

Personally I would rather operators spend money on networks rather than compensating people who pay not much each month a load of money, in a matter of days far more than most actually pay, for outages. Your mileage may vary.
