Add Wireless Access Point WG602v3 - Modem Router WGR614v9 supplied by Virgin Media

Hello Team or anyone that can help.

I have a Modem router supplied by Virgin Media Netgear WGR614v9 and as a lot of us have found out that the firmware is specific to Virgin Media and it can not be upgraded to the latest one supplied by Netgear. This is a bit of a con from Virgin Media.

Any way I now have a TV which can connect to the internet but my TV is down stairs and router is upstairs and I can't run a Ethernet cable from upstairs to the TV down stairs.

So I have found out you can us a wireless access point (placed next to TV) connected with Ethernet cable connect to the TV. The wireless access point then communicates with router by wireless.

Netgear WGR614v9 Manual shows how to do this (Wireless Repeating page 4-10). But Virgin Media have removed this function from their firmware. So I can't do this.

Can any help as to how I can set the WG602v3 and WGR614v9 VM to communicate with each other.

Regards

Hathiams
