Ethernet over powerlines

Has anyone else tried this technology?

I just bought myself 3 Netgear 14mpbs ethernet over power adapters

I don't need anything more than 14, as I don't use a network other than internet usage

But, i've installed it all AOK and it's awesome!

I've been stuck with a rather unreliable internet connection for AGES, so this makes a nice change

Plugged it in, wired up the ethernet cable, didn't even need to install anything, just worked right out of the box, no drivers, nada!

It does come with a CD if you want to setup an encrypted password for the network, but eh

Nice, didn't realise it'd been around for so long.

I've had some devolo 85Mbit thingies (Homeplug) running for about a year flawlessly with an almost unmeasurably small latency.

Strangely I still find it difficult not to call them powerline devices, and I used to work with the people that were on the powerline project.
