Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Premature perhaps, although a couple more defeats and the pressure might start to build
Spurs boss Martin Jol's future may be in jeopardy after he had crisis talks with chairman Daniel Levy about the losing start. (Independent)

Wind me up?? You'll need to try a lot harder young sir
United are unbeaten this season so far, can't have any complaints about that

I'd have a comeback to that but unfortunately I support Boro and you could have a much better comeback because we played proper crap yesterday.
1 - 0 to Wigan. What the **** is happening with us?!?!?! We need our defence back ASAP!

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
No-one wins the title within the first week of the new season! In fact I don't pay too much attention to league positions until at least november time as there's always some unfashionable cheeky little upstart of a team hovering near the top with delusions of staying there til May (looks like Everton again this season).

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
only saw the highlights on MOTD so didn't see much of the game, plus I was a little drunk too, but Tevez looked pretty good last night and a great goal from Scholes too.
Can't blame VDS for the goal either.
On some forums people are talking about the title being over already, and that was after the reading game. It's a long time till May.
Is Ronaldo banned for 3 games ? Thought it was just one for a first read card of season but wouldn't be the first time i was wrong about something

Straight red, three match ban I believe, that's the thing about the title race these days, you have to hit the ground running, you can't afford to leave it till Christmas anymore, that said to say the title race is over is crazy, a few more draws though and who knows

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Ronnie headbutted the other guy - that's violent conduct which has a standard 3 match ban.

Yawn

Reports that writs are also set to be served on David Unsworth - the former Blades defender who scored on the final day of the season - and Wigan - who had the audacity to beat the Blades in the same game - are yet to be confirmed ...

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Need a win on Sunday for definite. League is never over this early, but another bad result would make it very difficult.
Still remember what happened last time Utd drew their first two games of the season.

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Last season we lost to Portsmouth away and we had a draw against Reading, so you could say United are a point up on last season

In the meantime, West Ham United and its new owners will not permit these repeated slurs to go unchallenged and are in discussions with their legal advisers in relation to the action they might take.
I hope that applies to everyone, this whole saga has been a Godsend for lazy journalists, the nonsense they peddle has been lapped up to long and it's about time they got their comeuppance, especially the Daily Mail
