Malicious emails
Over the past few days I have received several emails to my ntlworld account. All had zip attachments and were obviously malicious. All different senders and account addresses.
"Here is the file you asked for"
"This is the update you require"
"The attached file is for your approval"
Plus the usual "letter from the bank" format.
I thought VM blocked transmission of any file with an attached compressed or EXE file?

Re: Malicious emails
I had one this morning addressed to my first initial G. It had a link to a website, needless to say I didn't click it and deleted the email.

Re: Malicious emails
Someone replied to my query on the VM forums. Zips and other compressed files are no longer blocked?

Date: Thu, 22 Dec 2016 13:11:08 -0000
On the morning 22th of December you'll be delivered a window and you'll be able to live track your request on its way to your address.
Please make sure someone is available to sign for your delivery.
Pack delivery information and your contact data is in the file attached to this letter.
If you will be out, it's not a problem: you have several of 'in-flight' options such as changing your delivery date collecting from your nearest DPD Pickup Shop, asking us to deliver to your neighbours or arranging to have your item delivered to a safe place at your work address.

ZIP file attached... deleted all of course.

Re: Malicious emails
I'm very careful with my details and rarely get SPAM. However have got a couple of fishing emails in the last few weeks. Has something changed with VMs filtering?
