Pinging my own IP?

I can never ping my own IP. I am now on an external connection and can see my connection is on as I can remotely manage my router. Here is the ping to prove.

Any reason for this? Can you ping your own IP?

Router or firewall told to drop ICMP packets???

Go to Shields up on GRC.COM and do a port scan and that'll tell you if your systems set to drop pings

You could try to avoid the router/firewall dropping the ICMP packets by using something like nmap with the -P0 switch.
