TBH, it's probably a bit too early for DS Emulators yet. It's a difficult job emulating a games system.
There is one at http://www.ndsemu.com but I think it'll be a while before you can play DS games on it.

i've got some xbox dvd's but no console to play them on.
is there some kind of emulator that would allow them to be played from dvd drive of my pc?

No -- XBox DVDs are funny things, from what I can remember. The tracks are written backwards (compared with normal DVDs), so they can't be read in PC DVD-ROM drives.
