However, the $250M figure being bounded about assumes that all their targets are met, as he's not really get $50M p/year per se - there's a
lot of it which isn't guaranteed. For example, he's getting all his endorsement money, unlike his Real Madrid deal, plus he gets a cut of the shirt sales, and he gets a proportion of the ticket sales.
If things go to plan then he'll make the $250M, but I think that's quite a big if. Soccer isn't anywhere near as big in the US as it is in Yur-Up. Even David Beckham will have a hard time raising its profile. Americans love baseball, grid-iron and basketball - I don't think the media will be on his side to help out.
Still, he's onto a nice little earner whatever happens, it's just I don't think it'll be $250M.
