Re: Formula 1 2008 Season

I'm guessing that you have never heard a Brazilian commentator then, its rather silly to take a dislike to someone just becasue they get support from their own countrymen.
And as for Liverpool.

maybe we here too much about hamilton on english itv. its not a race but the lewis hamilton show. why do the english insist on doing this...if someone dose anything wrong they are called a cheat...hamilton dose the same...aw well, accidents do happen. itv comentating is a major problem in F1. there are more than one cars in the race..come on english...get over the fact that there's more than hamilton fans watching F1 on itv.!!!!

Like other people have said, you should see the Spanish, Itallian and Brazillian commentary, they are all biased toward their own countrymen/teams, I can't see how you can take a dislike to someone based on the comentators. Hamilton doesn't control the comentators so how is what they say his fault.

In response to the "fairness" angle, I think if you look at this years races you'll find that a lot decisions have gone against Lewis Hamilton, when other drivers(usually driving ferrari's) have got away without punishement/penalty.

Worst mistake ever made was to eliminate the Tobacco sponsorship - F1 had a ton of money in those days, and did anyone ever choose to smoke, or to smoke Marlboro, Benson & Hedges or whatever because they saw the name on a F1 car.
And what does it get replaced with... ALCOHOL... which causes even more social problems than smoking does. Just another example IMO of the EU's total hypocrisy

Hi i cant be the only english person to dislike lewis hamilton surely. its not really hamilton that i hate because i did like him when he first came in to the sport but since then ive started to really dislike him mainly because of the comentators and presenters on ITV1 they are so biased towards hamilton i hate it, i really wanted fellipe massa to win the world championship because he is just a nice guy and not big headed at all. he will win the championship next season for sure if he doesnt have as many mechanical failures as last season.
Seems like a strange reason to dislike a driver to me. Also, I didn't exactly think Massa's deliberate attempt to take Lewis out of the race at Fuji was overly nice (there's Michael Schumacher's real legacy to the sport rearing its ugly head again through the person he is now effectively mentoring), but honestly what does Lewis have to do with what ITV's commentators say it isn't like they are puppets on a string being commanded by him. Lewis is self confident, not arrogant. It is a thin line.

+2

Bias just makes me cheer for everyone who goes up against Ferrari but as a McLaren fan it is frustrating to know that every year they are going to be fighting with one hand behind their backs thanks to the FIA
