Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Ibrahim Afellay could be avaiable for as little as 6mil.. bloody steal, could be the bargain of the season. Arsene sign him. Van Persies already said he's one of the not so many he's got a connection with, similar to the one he had with Cesc. me thinks thats a hint. just sign him Arsene, we'll cross the not being played bridge of other players, Gerinvho!! when we get there.

IMHO one if the reasons LFC have so much turbulance is because the media is full of LFC former players that always want to feed into the doom and gloom and are very bias, e.g. Kenny did no better than Roy all things considered but was not really villified to the same extent.
Rodgers is just what LFC need. A young manager that could be around for years that has an attacking philosophy that the team can now be built around in a positive manner.

Yes l have to agree with a lot of your sentiment but what irritates me is Brendan Rogers has not been officialy unveiled yet but Lawrenson and Aldridge are already making their opinions known.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Well he certainly gave a good account of he way he goes about his business in the press conference this morning. Also, when Ayre was farting about around the houses with his usual word play when the director of football issue came up Brendan Rogers just cut him short and got straight to the point with no bull which is a refeshing change to what we, as fans have been forced to consume since Rafa was moved on.
Either way the club is in a better position than it was on many levels compared with the periods when both Hodgson and Kenny were appointed so I'm sure he will be afforded the time to implement his plans.

That will be almost certainly what happens as LFC are a mid table team. Its just fans and ex LFC pundits that seem to think otherwise.
My guess is - same as Roy Hodgson scenario following replacement by an ex LFC associate who is mediocre but is 'accepted'.
Reina already came out and belittled Rodgers already.
