Frank Rijkaard next in line?

Terry can spit on you, you hit him and get sent off, then Rijkaard can gob on you as you leave the pitch. They should play it safe and get Diouff in, get you as you go down the tunnel.
Best bit of Wed was seeing Kenyon, with his face on the floor, getting wet. No more players on his Old Trafford dossier and wondering where he goes from here.

I loved how clear the chant coming from the United fans was when he led Chelsea up to get their losers medals

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Just back from Wembley, sadly Rochdale lost in the Div 2 play offs. Some great goals. Honours even in the first half but Stockport played the better football in the second. Good luck to them in Div 1 next season.
Wembley stadium is awesome, thankfully we took our own refreshments, the price of those in the ground is also awesome.
Jim.

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
I think Hughes with Zola in some sort of coaching role could be a good option

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
I found this article intresting - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7417746.stm
It seems that if Blatter gets his way with his six plus five plan all but two premier league clubs will be in trouble with Arsenal's disgraceful average of 0.34 English players per game leaving them totally screwed. I can't see his plan working anyway with all the EU laws and i don't think it will work well if they get it in place. What happens if you get four of five injuries to players that are all English at the same time? It will push up prices for English players even more than they are now (Darren Bent).
I would just like to point out that United had six English players start the Champions league final

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
I actually think this rule is quite good. It's not so much aimed at the big clubs but some of the teams in divisions lower down the leagues like the Championship or League One etc who instead of fielding an English player they field a foreign player instead. Because of this there are less English players further down the leagues to be brought by the top clubs which is one of the reasons they are always more expensive as the lower clubs don't have as big a pool to sell on due to the cheap imports they buy they have to charge more for the one or two players they can sell on.
In Austria all the top players go to Germany and their local league is full of poles and slovaks who weren't good enough to move into a bigger European league.
Going further imagine if you lived in Antwerp and your loval side was Royal Antwerp. You can't want any local Belguim players as they have an agreement with us so it's full of either United rejects or African's etc just player there for two years until they get an EU passport. A number of other top European clubs have similar agreements with clubs and ship players out like this but think about how the fans must feel who supported these clubs for 20 years or more.
The game does need some protecting from these sort of things
