Here's the uncropped picture

Re: The Olympics.

So now there's controversy because the Welsh players in Team GB didn't sing God Save The Queen.

Would the English players have sung along with The Land Of My Fathers? Not a chance.

The FA has hijacked GSTQ as the English anthem, they much now live with the consequences.

I thought most archers shut their non-dominant eye anyway? It certainly seems the natural way to do things. So, if you're blind in your non-dominant eye it won't make any difference.

Re: The Olympics.

Also, just because you are legally blind on one (or both) eyes doesn't mean you can't see anything out of them.

Still an impressive achievement for sure.

Re: The Olympics.

Reading up on this blindness, his eyesight is 10/200 and 20/200 for the two eyes, so very poor eyesight allround. He's just very good at aiming at a poorly defined yellow blob. I suppose it makes sense. If the yellow blob is consistently poorly defined it doesn't make much of a difference in terms of aiming at it. It just makes it difficult to determine where the arrow has landed, and that's where his team mates help out.

No they have a "blimker type thing in front of the eye as IIRC closing one eye can effect the other.

Yeah, but the point was that many of them effectively use only one eye. How they achieve that isn't that relevant.

If there is a war, I think i prefer to be on the side that can see where they are aiming. Friendly fire is scary enough as it is

Albeit a nuke doesn't seem very friendly, and bows and arrows aren't often used, but my point stands
