A sad loss.Saw him first in All Creatures Great and Small,Churchill, Hot Metal and in various one offs in series like The Saint as well as in Harry Potter. He was always a very interesting and enjoyable actor to watch in a very varied career, He will be sorely missed. RIP Robert.

Always be Siegfried Farnon for me. He did 90 episodes of All Creatures and was by far the best, most believable and entertaining character.

He was also an expert in longbows and I watched a documentary where he gave some insight into the longbows found on the Mary Rose..Very much an enjoyable actor to watch.
