Hi Hope somebody can answer this question- my understanding is that for the FTTP install fibre is converted to coax in the property, does this converter require power?
I only ask as there isn't power sockets next to where I would expect the cable to enter the property, thanks for your help.
The power for the laser kit most likely feeds back down through the coax cable to the ONT on the outside wall. The cable probably goes through a power inserter / battery thing on the inside of the property. I don't know that for sure, but it seems likely.
I believe the power is fed through the coax. It was about a year ago I looked at the kit though. But if you haven't got a spare socket it doesn't matter which way it's fed you still need a socket haha.
