Well a win at home and a draw in Moscow is not a bad night's work, how are Liverpool doing in the Champions League ?

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Felt like we could've won it after equalising there, but I would've taken a draw before the game so can't complain too much.

Looking at the table, I think the odds on favourite for next manager to be sacked is Sherwood at Villa. I'm going for Sheringham to be out of a job by the end of January.

Ha, it won't last, my missus is going to put him in her fantasy football team, that's a certain kiss of death.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Sadly den you may be right about Teddy. Look how long it took for us to get rid of Westley. Hopefully they can get on a decent run soon.
And what exactly is the fuss about Man City fans booing the Champions League anthem? I could get the uproar if it was Star Spangled Banner or La Marseillaise they were booing but a bit of music not even a national anthem I just can't understand.

What should be more of a concern for Man City is over 10,000 empty seats, even at £25 for adults and £5 for juniors.
'The City is yours' I don't think so.

You'd have to pay me to attend a City or United game.

Considering some of the things that happen on and off the pitch it's pathetic. I'm certain I've heard plenty of fans booing it over the years as well.

Never knew it was that much short of a full house. Our European crowds are always reduced cos we have to supply room at the ground for all the media vehicles that follow the circus, which apparently means the crowd can't move about safely so health and safety reduce the capacity. Then advertising boards round the pitch are larger as well, so the first couple of rows of seats ain't used. So as silly as all that sounds UEFA seem to be doing a good job for the fans...

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Capacity is now supposed to be around 55,000 with the new stand extension, gate was 45,000. Most of the top tier of new stand was empty which you don't always see on TV.
Personally I think that booing that anthem should become de rigueur for all fans from now on.

I'm expecting to see plenty of gaps at OT next Wednesday, I have got my seat but keep getting emails offering me the chance to purchase up to four more.
