What did I say about Liverpool? A couple of goals extra today (which it sounds like you could have had) and you could have gone above us.

Yeh there were a few other opportunities which we didn't capitalise on but still Chelsea were poor. They looked sharper in the second half but Reina in goal, some decent defending and the fact it was one of those days which they were never gonna score is an accurate description. Not to take it away from us, a decent win and hopefully a bit of a turnaround for us

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
Anyone see the lad in the paddock holding up the secret coded message behind the Chelsea bench?
"Fresh juicy mangoes £5 each"
instructions for Agent Hodgson I reckon... mind you sounds like one of Rafa's cryptic anecdotes.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
You really have to feel disappointment for Owen Hargreaves don't you? I was very pleased he had, seemingly, made a come back for United and only to hobble off in the first few minutes.
It's rather tragic and made all the more disappointing when he is the kind of model professional that English football needs and so often doesn't get. He is an intelligent footballer who played abroad and added different aspects to his game. Still hope for the recovery but the future looks bleak.

I'm not sure its bleak yet. If the knee had broken down again then I'd agree but its a different injury and from what ive heard one that can be expected after so long out of the game.

AFAIK it's a hamstring not his knee. Which is no unusual as he's been out so long and concentrated his fitness on his knees not his other muscles.
This is the problem Ledley King has. His rehab takes so much attention to his knee that he doesn't get enough regular exercise for his other muscles. Si its kind of like me suddenly going out and running miles at full blast.

What are your opinions on Andy Carroll getting an England call up? Considering his past record and his impending court case?

I'd like to see him on a trial basis, and then make a decision.
Capellos own rules are he only picks in-form players and Carroll is in-form.

What a dispicable behaviour by Celtic fans on Saturday, against our brave forces, by saying Poppies will not be displayed on there shirts this weekend.
But probabely the fans will get away with it, the biggest problem is that the past should be forgotten, but for some sick fans, obviously it is not. l used to be a fan of Celtic, but no more.

I thought the rule was no more judging by some of the players he took to the World Cup.
