Arthur's views will be 'interesting'
I think self inflicted damage would be the term I would use.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
I have just watched a game of which l am appalled by officials and the cheating of players - and thats not because of Chelsea's win.
Spurs just fell apart and made some terrible mistakes, and the game turned by the appalling dive of Eto, and the referee gave a penalty - terrible decision.
Even the Sky commentator, said it wasn't a penalty AND a friend of ours WHO is Chelsea fan was inside the ground. Said it wasn't a penalty.
The game was turned by that, there were some incidents in the game that you had to laugh at at with the poor officials, A Spurs player gets smacked in the mouth by a Chelsea boot. Some of the tackles for Chelsea were bad.
Its about time officials done there job properly. The three other goals were scored by stupid and patheitc defending by us. But, some Chelsea players wnt farcically down injured and if they got the free kick would get up. If they didn't they stayed down.

So much for me predicting Spurs may still have a chance of getting top 4. With that clown of a manager in charge they have no chance and never will

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Making Sherwood manager was a bad mistake in my humble opinion as he has no managerial experience at all and you simply can't in the top division appoint recent ex players on a whim as it simply won't work.

I thought it was more down to the players. 3 mistakes cost goals, and an unfortunate penalty. No manager can stop that happening.
They need a kick up the backside.

Sherwood has only lost 3 games, and done better than any other spurs manage in the same time frame

I thought he was let go, as he had ambitions to leave tottenham...if he had nipped england rumours in the bud...he would still be there

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
It wasn't just the England stuff. Levy got rid because Harry was getting a bit too big for the club, well thinking he was. Going public on MOTD about player contracts, his contract, signing players and then topping it with 'well Levys got other things to worry about at the moment with the passing of his mother so we'll see' sealed his fate.
Anyway with Louis van Gaal looking likely to arrive he may whip the squad into better shape but the squad does need further investment, investment that may hinder stadium plans. That 100m they threw in the summer then fail to play their record signing is mismanagement.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
You can spend a fortune as some clubs do and the impact from those signings can be minimal so my advice is for clubs to do their homework before they take the plunge.
