More likely though to be the reported get out clause his agent is trying to impose

The part that said 'if we get relegated'

Re: Football : Season 08/09
It's not unusual for players to have a relegation release clause.
It just so happens there are lots of them with it at Man City

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Just been reported from Sky Sports, that Man City have gone back in with ANOTHER bid, for - wait for it - 150 MILLION for Kaka, and this includes his wages.
This is sick, stupid and silly money to pay for a player.

All it means is that Man City will take over from Chelski and Man Utd as the most hated club in the country. Everyone will want them to fall flat on their face.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
The Football Association, must step in and stop this crazy deal, Man City are to be ashamed of this transfer, which now looks like to go ahead, what will happen now is that another player will go on the market, and say a crazy fee of say 175. million and City will go for that also, they will ruin football as it is, IF Spurs went in for a player of that value, and offered that sort of money, l would pack up football, as NO player is worth that sort of money, (we couldn't pay it anyway) l have criticised Ronaldo many times, but he is only worth approx 20 million in todays crazy world of football, l think Mark Hughes, should think long and hard before he goes to bed, and think of one thing tonight - the Fan, as he in the long run, will have to pay increased money to get into the ground, an absolute disgrace.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
The really funny bit about this is when Sparky comes on the TV and tries to convince us he is in control of this stupid spending splurge, yeh right.
Look at the stats, Man City have scored 38 goals this season, only Chelski have scored more. They have however conceded 30, only four other teams have a poorer record.
So do they need Kaka, do they hell as like, they need a keeper, defenders & a strong tackling, holding midfielder, not another Brazilian who will soon get the stuffing knocked out of him in the Premiership.
Jim.

It makes me laugh watching him defend the amount they are spending on one player and trying to tell us there's nothing wrong with it and it makes business and football sense!?!?

Yeah, you've just sat there, noded and said "yes please" haven't you sparky.
I can't wait to hear what Kaka will say if he joins, something about how it's nothing to do with the money, yeah right

That's right. It'll be all about "turning this club in to one of the best in the world"

It shouldn't be up to the FA as then English clubs will be disadvantaged against those on the continent. The Spanish FA didn't step in when Real spent 46m on Zidane and 30 odd on Figo so why should our FA now.
What should happen is that FIFA \ UEFA should introduce rules so that only clubs that weren't in debt are allowed into European competitions and then filter that down so the same rules apply for local leagues too.
Although that could mean my club being kicked out the league

He wants Parry to stop meddling before accepting a new contract.
