Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Your infinity's minimum latency seems quite high, seph, is that just for TBB or is the connection in general a bit like that?

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Always been like that Kush. I think I've got a crap line back to the street cab because I'm lucky to see 50 meg when they predicted 59. Crow flies distance to the cab is around 350m if that.
I've not bothered to tackle BT on that (like NR margin and so on) because 50 meg's enough and I just can't be bothered. I'm sitting tight to see what vectoring will bring and I'll invest in FTTP as soon as.

Ahhh, I see. That's a shame, as it otherwise looks like a decent connection.

It is a decent connection at all times. The boy (he's 25) prefers gaming on the Infinity connection. It looks, though that all the activity on the segment or whatever the architecture is is at night.

HA! "The boy" is the same age as me! Now I feel young and immature. Well, half right.
It does seem odd that it spikes at night, though, I wonder what's going on there. Unfortunately I know bugger all about how DSL works.

Any all-nighters he was doing at the time of that graph was elsewhere! That graph has been like that since Chrimbo.

You won't have long to wait for FTTP Seph.
FTTP availability is included in the latest rollout release by Openreach for all FTTC enabled areas.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
FTTP is the future, it's just a shame everyone seems happy dragging their heels to roll it out. All about money, I suppose.

Yeah - Pip - but BT make it very difficult to find out whether or not your exchange is accepting FTT orders. They are weasel worded on what they mean by SuperFast Fibre Broadband and all roads from the FTTP site lead to the general FTTC site.
