Re: Doctor Who : Season 6
Predictable story and bad acting - yup, it's Matt Smith as the Doctor still. A performance that was only beaten in the 'bad acting in Dr Who' by Bonnie Langford and Bertie Bassett. When will they recycle him into someone who's worth watching?

When the rest of the 7 or 8 million people who watch the show start agreeing with you? I wouldn't hold your breath.

Neither of those stopped Tennant getting 3 seasons.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 6
I thought the question being 'Doctor Who?' was clever.

yep
That is the reasoning behind my earlier comment about the storyline continuing next season

I am not so sure.
The reason why I think it was clever is because that question cannot be answered in the series. It's hiding in plain sight, it's the first question, it's the very title of the show.
The bit at the end when he says that the Doctor cannot escape it, that it is still coming, doesn't just refer to his death but the life of the show.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 6
The only good thing in that last episode was the skulls being the monster.
The whole thing has become too complex. It's not the acting, it's the plotline with time that has become so wibbly wobbly and broken that unless you have some sort of massive power of retention of series gone past and future you have no clue of what is going on anymore. Too many epsisodes are more about setting up something else to be shown later on, yet by the time you get to that something else you've forgotten about the set up so you've lost the plot.
Unless the current production team change their approach I won''t be watching any more. The TiVo series link has already been removed.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 6
I really enjoyed it, however I think they need to go back to monster of week as the season long story arcs are getting too complex.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 6
So the Dr is married to River Song, and travels with his mother & father in-laws
I guess the the twist with it not being the doctor who died.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 6
I always thought that the Doctors name was "The Doctor".
Thus when introducing himself or being introduced always posed the question "Dr Who?"
But that it was a question that couldn't be answered because he is simply the "Doctor"

No that is his assumed name, because the master said that it was typical of him to assume that name.

Nobody knows his name, that's part of the mystery.
