Re: Doctor Who : Season 6
I just find it hard to become emotive about the show while Matt Smith is in the title role. During the Tennant or Ecclestone series I would have been complaining, I know when Ecclestone took over I said 'I'm not sure if he's right for the role' and the same for Tennant, however both quickly established themselves and took ownership of the role. Currently Matt Smith has been so - bland - as the doctor I just don't get the same drive for the show.

Personally I think Matt has been brilliant in the role, and hope he continues for a while.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 6
Wibbly wobbly...Fun episode, with some answers and some questions.
So, confirmation of sorts that River was imprisoned for killing The Doctor... so the previous assumption that River was the "impossible astronaut" is likely correct.
We still don't know how The Doctor gets out of the whole "killed in Utah" thing though... that'll be held for series finale I guess.
Also...
The Doctor appeared to not know about the Silence. What about the events of the series opener? Also, in today's episode it was said that the Silence is a religious order, not a species.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 6
Didn't think that was the best of episodes, i was expecting more from Hitler, but he spent most of the show inside a cupboard. Did the using up of lives give the Dr more chance of regenerations though.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 6
The Hitler stuff was just filler to build up to Mels regenerating into River Song. For me it was enough that it gave Rory one of the best lines ever - "Shut up, Hitler!".

Re: Doctor Who : Season 6
Absolutely ... the setting was a simple backdrop this week. The story was all about the characters (and the better for it). But what a backdrop. The set designers played an absolute blinder with Hitler's study. The whole episode felt as if it had an epic scale.
