As a respected member of this forum l think you are making excuses for players who are getting £200,000 a week so to moan about how they are unhappy in Manchester really takes the biscuit.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Why do you use respected and revered when talking about me?? Weird....
Being unhappy with surroundings in a dump like Manchester isn't anything strange.. Though Tevez's main issue is being separated from his daughter and family, as for Balotelli he's made one comment saying that he's missing Italy.. I miss Manchester yet I'll probably never go back there to live..
Stop taking things so extreme.. Tevez has played great football, helped win an FA cup but if he wants to go then I hope he's happy where ever he ends up..

You seem to be a bit over sensitive and overreactionary about comments made about Man City.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Nope, I just react to nonsense comments, like when you stated you HATE ManU, if I was City bonkers then surely I would have agreed with the comment..
You're comparing though a footballer who's been convicted twice of assualt and been sentenced to 4 months in prison(suspended)..to footballers who have said that they're missing their family and homeland.. I find that truly worrying if you can't tell the difference

l know exactly what the difference is but perhaps if they miss their family and homeland that much then perhaps its time for them to pack football in get into a profession where they are nearer their families and homeland but they seem to be very quick to pick up their huge pay cheques each month.

Den you seem to forget that a lot of footballers who come for Argentina/Brazil/ South Africa and other countries that have massive widespread poverty. They all play so that they are able to give their families a better life?
So yes they will get homesick and will miss their families as well.
Just my opinion on the subject?

I think he's actually comparing Barton to some one who has been a cancer at every club he's ever been at, a seasons great football is all you can expect from him then it starts and whilst he's still putting in performances people pander to him until finally they are sick to the back teeth and flog him on for yet another bumper pay day.
Does anyone actually buy his homesick, if so why's he moving to Italy further away and why did he consider moving to Brazil, has he forgotten the death threats last time, that can't be good for his family.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
You're still though talking about someone who is violent and been convicted of violence..
If we considered Tevez's actions the same then we would have to jail him for life.. Tevez has never made any secret of his missing of his family.. He wants to be near them.. Personally in his situation I wouldn't want to bring a family anywhere near England never mind Manchester so you can understand that Italy is the lesser of two evils and a step in the right direction for him personally.
As for football contracts these 5 year deals must be hard on foreign players but it's what the clubs insist on.. It gives the home players a lot of security which is good but it's not for everyone..
Surely the fact that Barton has a year left on his contract yet is being offered a free transfer says a lot about the player..

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Italy and Argentina have very strong cultural links, it's perfectly logical for an Argentinian to move to Italy in order to feel more at home. There's a reason why Italian and Spanish football is full of Argentinians, while English football isn't. The same way French football is full of French speaking Africans.
Catania can literally field a whole team of Argentinians.

Agreed. Barton is just poison.
As to others, i have little sympathy for balotelli...and some sympathy to tevez...though not sure he is moving wholly for family reasons. I genuinely think he is tired of manchester
Never lived there myself...so can't comment on it...though I've never found reason to go on holiday there
