No, I think it was the follow-up, whilst the doctor was beating the dalek with the wrench, it said, "Okay, you didn't want tea then," or something like that.

That was hilarious.
I did groan a bit at the "Broadsword calling Danny Boy" bit.
Having watched 3 episodes now the jury is still out on Matt Smith, for me.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 5
The Doctor and Jo Grant join CBBC's The Sarah Jane Adventures in special episodes written by Russell T Davies. http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pre...ventures.shtml
Finally forgiven Katy Manning for that nude dalliance with the Dalek all those years ago.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 5
Didn't she go off and marry that Welsh bug guy, the one who had the run in with the giant maggots? Though I did have hopes for her and that nice Sergeant Benton, at the time.
I shall be looking forward to seeing that though, the whole Flyboy family are great fans of The Sarah Jane Adventures.

I liked the reference, although I think it was overused.
------------
Seems to be a Star Wars theme running through this series...
"Help me Doctor, you're my only hope", + a take on the trash compactor (inside the starwhale) in the previous one, while the Spitfires vs Dalek saucer scene reminded me of the battle against the Death Star.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 5
The latest episode did remind me a lot of Star Trek. It's the only thing I could think of when I was watching that scene.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 5
No, that sort of thing really didn't happen in the classic series. Mixing characters and the format up a bit was something RTD was very keen on, as he wanted to make the characters, situations and relationships between them more true to life.

Re: Doctor Who : Season 5
One thing I just thought that the Dr said.
Why didn't Amy know who the Daleks were?
Is this related to the "crack"
I will have ago at the game

Re: Doctor Who : Season 5
Yeah, I'm assuming it is related to the "crack" story arc. He brought it up again near the end of the episode, as he was quite concerned that Amy had no memory of the Dalek invasion.
