Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Don't know how true this is, heard on the bus today so cannot find anything to back it up as fact but apparently an Arsenal fan tore his season ticket up and threw it on the pitch at full time.
I agree it is getting more and more unlikely Wenger will see 20 seasons as manager, which is a shame. But fans want silverware, and I'm sorry I would even count winning the Capital One Cup as a major success this season. It says something when you have to settle for a tin pot Cup as the best chance of getting a trophy win.
As for Kroenke taking money out of Arsenal, why would he need to take it out when his American sports teams are doing very well? Indeed, the American teams would probably have more money for Kroenke to siphon from. He's also worth few billion dollars so unless he has had a poor few months he would need to be getting desperate to siphon cash reserves from Arsenal.

LOL! Drama queen. They are cards however, like an Oyster card, so not that easy to tear up without scissors.

The AGM was warm to Wenger. He retains the vast majority of support amongst fans at the stadium. Even last night I pretty much only heard people having a go at the board and an acceptance of Arsenal's new status as a team that is behind Manchester City.

He is a businessman and this is a business. He refused to rule it out today which they've always done in the past, he wasn't too keen on meeting fans either. I think we know where we stand on him now. Wenger did offer to meet fans at the end of the season if we do badly and got applauded.

its not even all about cups. its the fact the decline has settled in like a virus. in 08 we played a proper Barca style of footy but failed to net the chances created. instead of buying extra quality Wenger put too much faith in players to do it. these same players wanted 1-2 added into the mix but no. Wengers continued to this.

Stan isn't as rich as people seem to think. His monies at hand has dropped a lot. Stan is making money at Arsenal thats fact. He'll continue to do so and then make a huge profit when he sells his shares.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Being a Spurs fan, what AVB should do tomorrow morning, is go into Daniel Levy's office and resign if the team can perform like that in Europe and compared them self with the likes of Liverpool and Man Utd.
It was like watching a Sunday league game, first half was really poor and below par, the second half was slightly better. The the Maribor goal was a disgrace, the defence and keeper - and he wants regular football, l would rather have Gomez back in goal that Loris.
Spurs gave the ball away to much, and why on earth leave Abeyor out baffles me, he was not even on the bench.
I have a feeling that AVB will not last past Xmas at this rate.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
I did say I had heard the season ticket thing on a bus so I assumed it was false but still a good laugh. He would have regretted it had it been true and the last home game would seal the title for Arsenal.
I didn't realise Kroenke was running short of money. Sounds worrying, I agree.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
he still has billions just not as many. anyway his money wont be pumped in. Arsenal will attempt to charge us fans a million pound each for a season ticket before asking a sugar daddy for cash. if Stan ever gets forced to sell then i suspect itll be anyone but Usmanov. that said Usmanov would happily pay an excess to get his hands on Arsenal.

Arsenal set to sign ÂŁ25 million shirt deal with adidas
The Nike shirt deal expires in 2013-4 and Adidas’s interest is set at least to double the ÂŁ13 million a year Arsenal earn from it. Arsenal fans buy 800,000 shirts every year, making them the third-biggest draw in Nike’s portfolio after Manchester United and Barcelona.

Seems a little low to be honest. The Prems growing dramatically and having just seen rights sell for a massive amount I do think Arsenal can get more. I wonder too if this is just a shirt deal and a different training kit sponsor will be coming in as well.

City are poor, I think swansea are earning at least a point.
Toure dwelling too long on the ball, and rest seem slow.

Sorry to say Colin but serious questions have to be asked on whether Mancini is the man to take City forward now.

when the new contract was signed? what are the chances Pep will be approached at the end of the season when he looks to be available. I hope not. He's made for Arsenal.
