Disney are surely missing the point. I’m a big marvel and Star Wars fan, but I will not be subscribing to their channel.
I’ll either watch it by other means or if the opportunity arises buy the shows I want via Blu-ray or other medium.
There’s no monthly income from me, much in the same way amazon and Netflix can kiss my behind.

I am just wondering though that with the way wifi is going, 5G internet and broadband connections etc how long it will be till physical media disappears altogether and streaming is the only option. Disney must have done some number crunching and worked out that it is still in their interest to sell dvds for the foreseeable future but the sure way to dominate the streaming market and take everyone away from Amazon and Netflix (price aside) is to say all future content (post cinema release) will only be available on their streaming service. Who wouldn't sign up if it meant they had unlimited access to future MCU films, Star Wars and Lion King etc. Surely that is the way to get 500m subscribers? That is why they are doing Lady and the Tramp on Disney+ and if they were clever they would say Lion King is streaming only because that is due out in November the same time as the debut of the streaming service.

Missing the point??
Disney are marketing it's service very well. The monthly fee is cheaper than the other services on offer, it will have many great shows and movies as well as a lot of new and exclusive content available, as well as only offering the one price which gets you 4K and all content with a number of users. Netflix only gives you that if you pay over Ł11 a month.
It's also the only place that will get Marvel movies and shows so they will certainly be taking it in.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
This years big "arrowverse" crossover is going to include the characters from Black Lightning.
We can already expect those from Arrow, Flash, Supergirl & the Legends (and possibly even Batwoman).

That’s interesting because when they launched Black Lightning they were coy about which universe it is in. In fact they’ve done little to address that aside from one very fleeting reference to Supergirl, which suggests the BL characters aren’t actually in the Arrowverse and they are going to have to pull off one almighty piece of plotting to make it happen.
TBH I have come to really dislike the crossovers. The Earth X one was a mess, very light on character (because there are just too many of them) and focusing purely on fanwanky pitch battles with as many costumed characters on screen as possible at any one time.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
Its also been stated that Arrows crossover episode is episode 8.
This is interesting given that the final series is supposedly 10 episodes, but hes supposed to die in the crossover ?
The LOT episode is also a week before the season has previously been stated as starting, which means its probably the first episode of the season.

Looks like they haven't fully resolved things yet then. The schedule I posted was from 21st August.

I completely agree, I have watched them each year and tbh I consider them to be a disservice to the characters and the universe. They are pathetically weak stories with no substance designed to get as many characters together as possible and because there are so many characters (regardless of which series you are watching) none of the series-specific characters have time to shine through and be the full characters that we know them to be and everyone just seems to be in the background while Oliver, Cara and Barry stand in front of the camera and do their thing.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
Potental Darth Vader Prequel Series being considered.

It seems Lucasfilm is open to exploring this period even more in another show, based on the most iconic Star Wars character of them all. We Got This Covered has heard from our sources – the same ones who told us Ewan McGregor was returning as Obi-Wan back in May, and that Robert Pattinson was locked in as Batman – that a Darth Vader series is being considered.
