For all you guys that pre-ordered Battlefield 4 that included the China Rising expansion, don't do what i did and forget to use the code in the box!
Luckily i hadn't thrown it out! Just got to wait for it to get released now.

Re: The Xbox One Thread
Tbh it's the lack of games, not the consoles.

This is fake, it's spreading around. It will brick your console so be warned. It spread from 4chan typically. It wasn't going to get far until it was then posted to reddit and thus accidently the Streisand effect.
Posted before anyone comes across this on Facebook and think's why not..

I'd hold off a bit. I'm 99% certain they'll run the same deal they did with the 360. A small fee followed by a mandatory Xbox live subscription. £99 I believe the X360 was and I can't remember the length of gold.
Although I say small fee when it's likely they'll ask for 200-300 up front for the Xbox one.

The mount itself also seems a bit precarious on top of the TV.
I think I'll stick it at the base of the TV for now instead, until a better TV mount comes along...
|
Update:
As I said a couple of weeks ago, I quickly gave up on the Orb mount and just plonked the Kinect at the base of the TV. Hardly an ideal position...
I was browsing Amazon earlier this week seeing if any other mounts were finally available, and saw that they also sold this one and that it had some strangely mixed reviews. Some people had the same issue as me, where it didn't fit at all, while others had no issue at all.
A couple of reviews mentioned that they had contacted Orb directly, and that Orb said a small batch went out with incorrect top parts, and that they would replace the part for free.
So, I contacted Orb on Tuesday night via the email form on their website and via Twitter.
http://orbaccessories.com/
https://twitter.com/ORB_Accs
.. and received replies from both early on Wednesday morning. They were apologetic, and promised to send me a replacement top part. I gave them my address, and they contacted me again later that same day to tell me the replacement was in the post.
It arrived on Friday, by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For.
I've just set it up (I was out when it was delivered so had to go pick it up today), and... it fits! My Kinect is now finally on top of my TV.
So, if anyone wants a mount and can't wait for the officially recommended PDP mount to finally be released, the Orb one is actually OK. Another bonus with the replacement part is that, as well as actually fitting, it also doesn't say "ORB" on the front like the original part did.
Excellent customer service from Orb

Re: The Xbox One Thread
Good you got it sorted.
Does it have that nasty Orb logo on the front facing the room? That would be something i couldn't live with.
