Nug, whaddya make of Villa's start to the season so far? Gunners result was class, and we got a bit lucky against Reading from what I heard (or they were unlucky perhaps).

Not a bad start at all - as you say, it was a great result against Arsenal. From the sound of it, it really shouldn't have been a penalty for our first goal last night, but sometimes it all turns on a single piece of luck. Our main problem last year was not beating the teams below us (although, by the end of the season, there weren't that many of them ), so it shows that we've at least turned a small corner

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
Apparently the local plods are checking out the video. A bit of what Duncan Ferguson got would be more than justified in this case. Compare that with Rooney's red in the pre season friendly.

After watching that he needs locking up no joke that was gbh, Man City should sack him, surely they can rip up his contract no bother that cannot be defended.

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
Nice to see us back up where we belong with Chelsea at mid-table and Arsenal nowhere to be seen.
Ruud Van who?

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
Blimey O'Reilly, I do believe that Villa are 2nd in the league
Not a bad start for the club that was oh-so-nearly relegated a few months ago
Big up for Randy Lerner's Claret and Blue Army
