With a face like this I look 'wrong' no matter what I wear, I'm used to elderly ladies crossing the road rather than pass me by on the street. Just figured I may as well look slightly affluent as I scare them

The first time I met you in person you immediately did me your impression of Silas the insane monk from the Da Vinci Code. So maybe stop doing that ...

Re: What have you just bought?
A Garmin Forerunner 45 watch for my son's birthday (which is in September, but he can have it now as an early present, as his FitBit is broken).
Really happy with the price - normally £149.99 on the Garmin website (or £139 on Currys and other sites), I got it for £112.49 using the Defence Discount Services website link.
Bargain.

It's for my Beloved who seems to be nursing a bad back for some reason and hopefully once he's had a few tots I can get back into his good graces.
Personally I hate the stuff and only drink it with hot water and honey when I have a sore throat.

I hope you use a blended whisky for that purpose, otherwise, I may have to come and give you a sound talking to (and perhaps sample the 15yo Dalwhinnie at the same time... ).

Re: What have you just bought?
The Mrs fell for one of those JML “infomercials” for the vacuum bags that you can store clothes in. Out came my wallet and they arrived this morning. Not bad (although not worth £30) but they work even better if you stand on the bag to help flatten it as the little vacuum motor does its thing.

+1 used them based on your previous recommendation. No issues and very good service.
