When l heard this. It ended the childhood days that l dearly loved. I always loved watching a true Batman. Not the rubbish ones we see today.
My treasured memories of watching Batman was, when you see batman and Robin 'supposedly' climbing up the wall. Then finding out they were just walking the floor.
RIP Adam... All ways remember the batman episode when batman and robin were running around a pier with a black bomb (with bomb written on it) and trying to get rid of it... quoting... Some days you just cannot get rid of a bomb. He also had a brief part in the film Robinson Crusoe on Mars.

Re: RIP Adam West
Those were the best Batman/Robin. They could have modernised a bit but kept the lightness and humour instead of the overly dark and violent theme in the latter movies, even if this was more in keeping with the original ideas.
One source I had shows the lightening happened with the introduction of Robin, it's much harder to hide in the shadows with a sidekick dressing in bright yellow/red.
