or given every thing to a generation of ungrateful brats who have now turned on them for their kindness , a generation who have no idea what bleak is and clearly believe every thing should be handed to them .

l don't doubt that it is going to be harder for the pensioners of the future TD but Mr K assertion that pensioners of today have never had it so good is not based on the actual reality as many pensioners l know certainly are far from being affluent.

You forgot the bit about the bank of mum and dad and keeping their grown offspring from the wolf at the door.

Quite. Just as well they didn't decide to pee their assets up against a wall but made a whole lot of sacrifices in order to help their kids in the future.

However I would think its a thing thats good for the country, redistributing wealth.
In a capitalist country tho its not considered a normal thought process

How on earth are the 'idle inherited rich' 'bleeding the country dry'?! By your own admission, they are rich. That would imply that they don't need to 'bleed anything dry'
As for pensioners, leave them alone. They paid in all their lives and now they are due what they were promised. It's really that simple.

Only in the short term. After that the well off simply leave and then the socialists find that they no longer have anyone left to fleece.

They are bleeding the country dry by just sitting on their money, not putting it back into the economy or contributing in anyway.
As for pensioners - no problems with them getting what they were promised. It's if the rest of the working population, who are funding current pensioners, will get the same when they retire. I suspect they won't.

What on earth are you on about. I live in an area of the North West which is full of footballers and inherited money. They spend fortunes on having magnificent houses built, therefore keeping the local builders busy, the local restaurants are rammed every night of the week - which leads to loads of local folks being employed. I could go on but you get the jist.

Envy always diminishes an argument. You won't collect a pension ever if you remain so embittered; you need a new leader, fast.

It's not envy, it's a question of fairness, The young of today aren't getting a fair deal. Will they get free bus rides, winter fuel payments, free tv licences, which current pensioners get regardless of income ? Whether they get a state pension isn't a given. Yet they are expected to fund this for current generation of pensioners, who've already been lucky enough to live through the baby boomer era and many also benefit from generous work pensions (another thing the young won't get).
p.s. i need a new leader ?? nobody leads me !
