Re: Boxing/MMA 2014
The stoppage from Froch draws a line under the feud. Let him got to Vegas to fight fight however he wants to I say. DeGale Vs. Groves II for the vacant IBF tile.....NICE!

Re: Boxing/MMA 2014
What a punch. Groves didn't really improve on anything from the last encounter which is disappointing but he knows that. Froch could call it a day though. He's got my respect back for a clean fight and his post match comments.

Yes l thought Groves would improve but Froch proved me wrong again and deserves all the accolades he gets.

Re: Boxing/MMA 2014
Froch actually ended British middleweight boxing right there and then to be fair. Good result for Froch but a bad result for British boxing. Froch can't take out ward and based on what wwe've seen then neither can Groves or DeGale. If Groves can't improve then he's going nowhere. He'd have taken froch to the cleaners if he didn't enter that ring the sameway he did last year. Froch must have thought it was Christmas. Experience prevailed in the end but poor training and preparation cost Groves. The element of surprise had Froch obliterated last time. You simply can't go in there after months and expect the same. Froch calls it quits and we're left with not much to take in.

Re: Boxing/MMA 2014
British middlweight boxing isn't dead. Far from it if you look at the bigger picture. Froch has just created history. Groves never looked good enough to create history then some. Physically Groves looks able but mentally its wrong. Look at Khan, he hasn't got it right and I doubt he ever will. Even if Froch bows out now what happened last night is something which will no doubt help British boxing in years to come.

l think the trouble is Groves and Knan is talented they are they have defensive weaknesses and at the very top level these weaknesses are usually found out by skilled opponents.

Mikkel Kessler eyes third fight against champion Carl Froch.

Now that would be nice.

Khan is a complete article, Virgil has sorted him, He destroyed Collazo with ease, if anyone is going to take out the money machine, it's Khan. Khan is britain's best boxer by a long shot in this era. Champions such as Froch and Haye more recently will never possess the skill set this lad has. Glass chin? Nah not really, Garcia dropped Lucas too. Khan just got too cocky and he's near enough unbeatable when he sits back and fights to a plan.
Mayweather and Khan is another pacman saga all over again, I'm already resigned to accepting it's just not happening. Give a British lad the speed of Khan, the power of Haye and the chin of Froch and you've got a monster.

Re: Boxing/MMA 2014
Khan isn't the complete article imo. He has been hit with some unlucky blows, no doubt about that but he does have a glass chin or should I say he hasn't got that extra bit of strength to handle blows needed to be the complete article.

Re: Boxing/MMA 2014
Amir Khan rolled up to two teens in a merc and jabbed them for the heck of it? I smell a kid that's hit the deck quicker than Neymar and is crying lawsuit. World champion boxers don't just slap kids for the heck of it. Gotta love a one sided story.

The thing is though when you are in the public domain as someone who is famous you have to be whiter then white in everything you do as the media are just waiting to write those front page headlines.
