Last Resort - Season 1
[No, this isn't a new series centred around the Martian brothel in Total Recall, and there are no three-boobed hookers ]
A new military drama created by Shawn Ryan ( The Shield, Terriers, The Chicago Code). Started last night on ABC in the US.
Wikipedia - Last Resort
Quote:
The show is about the renegade crew of a United States Navy Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine, the fictional USS Colorado (SSBN-753), that receives an order to launch nuclear missiles at Pakistan, through a backup communications channel. When Captain Marcus Chaplin (Andre Braugher) asks for confirmation via official channels, he is relieved of command. His second in command, Lt. Commander Sam Kendal (Scott Speedman), also questions the orders and the vessel is fired upon by the USS Illinois, killing crew members of the Colorado.
Realizing that they have been declared enemies of their own country, they set up camp on the island of Sainte Marina (a fictional French island located in the Indian Ocean), commandeer a NATO communications facility, and declare a 200 mile exclusion zone around the island...

Andre Braugher ( Homicide: Life on the Street) plays the Captain, Scott Speedman his XO, and Robert Patrick the COB. It also stars Dichen Lachman, Autumn Reeser, and Daisy Betts.
The reviews so far have been positive.

Just finished watching it, bit of a slow start but got better as it went on.
Will be good see how it pans out.

Re: Last Resort - Season 1
I really enjoyed it, far more than Revolution.
Got me hooked on the first episode, with a good cast, interesting characters, and an intriguing story.
Ratings were poor, though. I hope ABC doesn't kill it off
